Keith Lowell Martin, 60, passed away peacefully at his home in Radford surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 16, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Keith proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War Era and was retired from Wolverine of Blacksburg after 30 years of dedicated service.

He was born September 6, 1945 in Tahlequah, Okla. to the late Hubert and Ruby Downing Martin. He was also preceded in death by a brother David Martin; a son Steve Shrewsberry; and a grandson, Shawn Shrewsberry.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lettie Carlene Martin; two sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin Martin and Tony and Dana Shrewsberry; daughter-in-law, Sue Shrewsberry; three brothers and sister-in-law, Doug Martin, Russell and Ann Martin, and Tim Martin; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Steve Cole, Diana Pilgrim, Janelle and Charlie Nichols and Lisa Martin; and a sister-in-law, Rita Martin; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Barbara Duncan; and many nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the West Radford Church of God with the Rev. Arthur Harris, the Rev. Jim Walker and the Rev. K. B. Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, 9 East Church Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24011 or to the West Radford Church of God, Box 3190, Radford, VA 24141.
