Martin, Judith Ann

Judith Ann Martin, 47, of Merrimac Road, Blacksburg, Va., departed this life quietly at her home on Monday, February 21, 2011. Judy was born on August 2, 1963, in Giles County, a daughter of the late Carl P. and Martha Ann (Betsy) Kelly Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby G. Martin. Before she was disabled with arthritis she had worked with a bridge repair crew. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Nathaniel W. Roop, of Blacksburg; her uncle and aunt, Jimmy and Janis Martin, of Pembroke; her niece, Jill Martin, of Narrows; her nephews, Johnny Martin, of Check, and Michael Martin, of Narrows; and her dear friend and aunt, Mary Bland Kelly, of Eggleston. Funeral arrangements were private for the family. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
