Martin, Helen Warburton

Helen Jewell Warburton Martin, age 81 of Pulaski passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the Radford Health and Rehab Center. Born October 12, 1931 in Pocahontas, Virginia she was the daughter of the late James Taylor Warburton and Donnie Irene Whitaker Warburton Sullivan.

Her husband of 62 years; Berman Cecil Martin preceded her in death, September 9, 2012. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Nellie W. Akers and Nancy W. Jones and Brother, Lewis E. Warburton.

She was retired legal secretary with 40 plus years of service with Crowell, Nuckols, Layman and Aust, Attorneys of Law, Pulaski.

She is survived by her Children- Kathy M. Murphy & husband, Donald-Pulaski, Gary M. Martin & wife, Karen-Pulaski. Grandma to – Jennen Murphy Adcock and husband, Jason; Michael Martin Murphy, Shellyn Nicole Martin, Kristi Martin Thorpe and husband, Philip; Katelyn Brooke Martin, and Gary Tyler Martin. Great Grandma to- Madelyn and Megan Adcock and Nathan and Hannah Thorpe. Sister- Bonnie Sullivan Kilpatrick – Chesapeake, VA., Brother- Robert Sullivan & wife, Helen – Teague, TX., Sister-in-law- Elizabeth Martin Ward- Pulaski. Numerous Nieces and Nephews

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. James Thorpe officiating. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service hour at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Radford Health and Rehab and Good Samaritan Hospice for taking care of our Mother during the past few months.
