Martin, Edna Gautier

Edna Gautier Martin, 80, of Pearisburg departed this life Monday June 4, 2007 at Pulaski Community Hospital in Pulaski. Born in Giles County on September 16, 1926 she was a daughter of the late Willie B. and Sophia Lucas Gautier.

She had been a member of New Village Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Fred Stewart and Clifton Martin, two sons, Jackie Stewart and Jerry Stewart, two brothers, Garland and Dan Gautier, half-sister Beulah and half-brothers Willie, Buster, and Richard Gautier.

She is survived by a brother, William B. Gautier of Pearisburg; a special niece, Dana G. Armstrong of Charleston, S.C.; her half-brothers and sisters Bobby Gautier of Rich Creek, David Gautier of Radford, Lois Gautier of Rich Creek, Barbara Gautier of Roanoke, Nancy Meredith of Pearisburg, and Shelly Spicer of Narrows; her stepchildren Brenda Wade, Gregory Martin, and Allen Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
