Martin, Earnestine Glenice

Earnestine Glenice Martin, 78, of Cascade Drive, Pembroke departed this life Tuesday morning, November 27, 2012, at home in the care of her family and hospice. Born in Williamson, W.Va. on February 13, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Levi Oliver and Beulah Blevins Mills.

She was a graduate of Eggleston High School and Business College but majored in caring for her family as a wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Charles Lee Martin, and her brothers Clarence, Lawrence, and Arnold Mills. She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Dean and Linda Martin, of Chesapeake; her daughters and sons-in-law, Shari and Mike Kelley, of Pembroke, Lori and Levet Tanir, of Chesapeake; her grandchildren, Michael Jr., Amber, Christie, Jesse, Megan, Jessica, and Amanda; her great-grandson, Lee; her sisters-in-law, Herma Jean Mills, of Eggleston, Elsie Mills, of Columbus, Ohio, and Martha Ann Stevers, of Pembroke.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with a scattering service to follow at the home place. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
