Betty Lancaster Martin, 80, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Pearl Conner Lancaster of Floyd, Va.. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond A. Martin and three brothers, Arlon Lancaster, Marvin Lancaster and Everette Lancaster.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Shirley J. Martin of Christiansburg; son, Ralph E. Martin of Riner; a grandson, Christopher Lewis Martin of Baghdad, Iraq and Christiansburg; a special friend and sister-in-law, Chlorine M. Clower, Christiansburg; sistersin-law, Pauline Lawrence, Christiansburg, Rachel Lancaster, Salem, Va.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna M. King, Christiansburg, Eloise M. and W. Wayne Gearheart, Lena and Archie McAlexander, Ocie M. and Dalton Thompson all of Pilot, Jane Earnestine M. Nichols, James Earnest and Connie Martin, Cigile Martin, all of Roanoke, Va. and Vernon and Sandra Martin of Little River, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home located at 1300 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Va. from 5 until 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Monroe Hedrick officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
