Martin, Bessie Mae

Bessie Mae Martin, 99, of Floyd, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Skyline Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Opalene and E.C. Hill; stepdaughters, Lucille Bell, Kathrene Furtado, Peggy Fish; stepsons, Raymond (Odie) Martin, David (Daisy) Martin, Robert (Bobby) Martin, Jerry (Dee) Martin, Mack Martin, Marvin (Pete) Martin; brother, Marvin Thomas; five grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; a number of stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Riley W. Ware and the Rev. Richard W. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
