Martin, Alice Faye

Alice Faye Martin, 76, of Shawsville born on November 30, 1945 in Pineville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 3, 2021.

Alice was a very loving Christian wife and mom. She loved God, reading her Bible daily, and attending church regularly as well as teaching Sunday school. Her children, and grandchildren were the most important things to her. She looked forward to any opportunities to spend time with her family. She was always there to provide love and support, reminding us to only do as Christ would when faced with life challenges. She loved flowers and spent a lot of time each year in her gardens.

She was preceded in death by parents, Robert Wristen Bibb, & Mary Alice Walters; brother Benny Walters. She is survived by her husband Raymond D. Martin; brother Henry Bibb (Barbara); children Raymond Mike Martin, Dwayne Martin (Becky), Chris Martin (Mariekan), & Kimela Rose (Jordan); grandchildren Josh Martin (Amber), Kolleen Rose, Jonathan Martin (Jessie), Kassidy Rose, & Greyson Strachan; great grandson Tyler Martin as well as nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg on Monday, December, 6 at 6 – 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Horne Funeral Home on Tuesday, December, 7th at 11 am with Pastors Dwayne Martin and Ronnie Ford officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
