Marshall, Robert Daniel

Robert Daniel Marshall went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2013. Danny was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church serving as a Deacon, Trustee, and Sunday School teacher. He was a faithful husband and father of three children. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loving God’s creation and the friends and family he enjoyed it with.

Danny was preceded in death by his father Reverend Robert B. Marshall and nephew Chris Marshall. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Eunice O’Dell Marshall; his two daughters, Debby Marshall Hodges and husband Dean Hodges, and Penny Renee Marshall; and his son, Daniel Keith Marshall and wife, Lisa Farmer Marshall; his mother, Iris Rupe Marshall; sister, Betty Sink; brother, Timothy Scott Marshall and his wife, Dottie Marshall. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Hunter Cole Marshall, Madeline Grace Marshall, Susanna Noelle Marshall and Justice Isaac Marshall. The family would like to express its gratitude to all those caregivers that helped with Danny’s care, including Carilion Clinic Hospice, and especially Sabrina Phillips, whose love and care for him will not be forgotten. The family is especially proud of the Godly life and testimony of their beloved father and husband who, in all things, fought the good fight and ran his race well. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Baptist Church in Radford with Rev. Brian Cockram and Rev. O. D. Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
