Marshall, Kirby Lawrence

Kirby Lawrence Marshall, 79, of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007. He was born February 20, 1928 to the late Wyatt Marion and Ocie Marie Marshall.

He was a beloved husband, father, Pa Paw and friend to many. Kirby ran a family dairy farm, worked for Landsales of Radford, and retired from Federal Mogul of Blacksburg.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Bishop Marshall, Christiansburg, Va.; daughter, Joann M. Smith, Tuba City, Ariz.; son and daughter-in-law, Carlie L. and Sherry Marshall, Christiansburg, Va.; grandchildren, Gregory Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah, Jessica Smith, Flagstaff, Ariz., Amanda Marshall, Roanoke, Va., Justin Marshall, Christiansburg, Va.; sister, Verlie Slusher, Radford, Va.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Pastor Charlie Spencer and Pastor Kenny Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Big Sand Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Maberry Funeral Home.

He will be greatly missed and the family would like to give special thanks to the Highland Ridge Nursing Home Staff and to the Mountain Valley Hospice Staff.
