Marshall, Cobern Andrew

Cobern Andrew Marshall, 83, of Indian Valley, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2012. He was the son of the late William Clydis and Edna Duncan Marshall.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Lorene Showalter Marshall; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Deloris Marshall, Donney and Rebecca Marshall, Thomas and Sodonia Marshall, and Clifford and Carla Marshall; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; four sisters; one half sister; and three sisters-in-law.

Cobern was a trustee of the Indian Valley Church of God where he was a member for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Model A Club of Christiansburg, which he loved to restore old cars. He loved his family and lived a good Christian Life. His grand and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. Sleep in Jesus until we meet, never to part again.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Indian Valley Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Poston, the Rev. James Walker and the Rev. Mike Bond officiating. Interment to follow in Big Sand Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
