Manning, Debra Reed

Debra Lejean Reed Manning, 59, formerly of Mill Road, Pembroke,VA, departed this life suddenly Saturday, February 9,2019 in Buena Vista, Virginia. Born in Giles County on June 21, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Luther Hoover Reed Sr. and Aubrey Carter Reed.

She was proud to be married to Rickie Allen Manning, her sweetheart for 42 years. Debbie was a graduate of the Giles High School class of 1978. A truly dedicated GHS Spartan football fan who looked forward to every Friday night game. She had proudly served as an electronic assembler for Moog for 32 years. Her pride and joy only came through loving and helping her family, especially her children and grandchildren. In addition to her family, she loved to read and visit Daytona Beach, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rickie Allen Manning and sister, Sandy Hite and husband Butch.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Candy Manning and fiancé Justin Ceritano of Pembroke, Virginia, her sons, Chris Manning and his wife Megan of Buena Vista, Virginia and Josh Manning and fiancé Chrissy Duncan of Pembroke, Virginia. Grandchildren, Jacob Burton and fiancé Tiffany Freeman, Anthony Burton, Mason Burton, Brayden Manning, Jaelyn Manning, Aryana Manning, Oaklyn Manning, Madison Ceritano and Summer Ceritano, and a very special great grandson Carter Allen Burton son of Tiffany and Jacob, her brother Junie Reed and wife Charlene; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street, Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery at Goldbond.
