MANNING, Bobby Harold

Bobby Harold Manning, 62, of Copper Hill, passed away October 2, 2006 at his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver W. and Nellie Wimmer Manning; three brothers, Benny Manning, Terry Manning, David Manning; three half brothers, Cleveland Manning, Herbert Manning and Melvin Manning; and two half sisters, Cammie Manning and Bondeen Barger.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Sowers Manning; one son, Bobby, Jr. and Angela Manning; two daughters, Tonya and Jason Slusher, Lynette and Scott Harris, all of Copper Hill; five grandchildren, Bobby Manning III, Joshua Slusher, Matthew Slusher, Sable Manning and Alyssa Harris; two sisters, Katherine and Junior Sowers of Floyd, Linda and Torn Iddings of Riner; six brothers, Oliver Manning, Jr. of Salem, Paul Manning of Copper Hill, Henry Manning of Floyd, Rocky and Celeste Manning of Greensboro, N.C., Larry and Rhonda Manning of Copper Hill, Michael Manning of Radford; half brother, Jim and June Manning of Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Julia Manning of Salem; one special sister-in-law, Karen M. Nicholson of Blacksburg.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating, with interment in Restvale Cemetery. A special thank you to Adventa Hospice, and Staff.

Also to all of our family, friends and neighbors for all of their many acts of kindness and prayers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd.
