Marvin Dennis Mann, age 68, of Cashmere, WV, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. He was born October 7, 1952, at Princeton, WV, and was the son of the late Emmett G. and Nellie Spangler Mann.

Marvin was raised in Ballard, WV. He was a 1970 graduate of Peterstown High School. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army. He was a past member of the Peterstown Volunteer Fire Department and the Peters Mountain Antique Tractor Association. Marvin worked at the Celanese Plant in Narrows, VA until his retirement in 2009.

Marvin enjoyed his retirement life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Most folks that knew him, were familiar with his kind, friendly, and funny demeanor. They would also know of his recycling abilities with scrap metals, copper, and aluminum. Often you could find him riding side-saddle on his four-wheeler along the back roads picking up aluminum cans, and if someone stopped to talk to him, he would always hold a can up and tell them, “this one right here will put me over a million pounds” and then he’d just laugh. He loved his family and friends, and he knew they all loved him as well. Marvin loved the Lord and was a member of the Ballard First Missionary Baptist Church in Ballard, WV, where he also served as a Trustee.

Survivors include, his loving wife of 44 years, Judy Jarvis Mann of Cashmere, WV; two sons, Todd D. Mann of Roanoke, VA, and Kenny W. Mann and wife Angie of Greenville, WV; two brothers, Ronnie Mann and wife Judy of Peterstown, WV, and Glenn Mann and wife Linda of Princeton, WV; sister-in-law, Janet Dixon and husband Wayne of Ballard, WV; brother-in-law, Johnny Jarvis and wife Donna of PA; five granddaughters, Brianna, Brooklyn, Hannah B., Haleigh, and Hannah G.; one grandson, Emmett Grant Mann; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
