Mann, Madge Almecia

Madge Almecia Mann, age 95, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the Stonerise Nursing Home in Lindside, WV. Born May 26, 1922, in Lindside, WV, she was the daughter of the late Estel H. and Geneva Carte Mann.

Madge was a member of the Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Greenville, WV. She retired from Celanese in Narrows, VA, after 39 years of working there. She loved flowers and enjoyed the outdoors. She was a caring person, as she provided a home for her parents and her uncle, Lacy Mann.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Mann; one sister, Reba Williams; and two stepchildren, Danny Mann and Janice Belcher. Survivors include two stepsons, William “Bubby” Mann of Lashmeet, WV, and Larry Mann of Lindside, WV; one stepdaughter, Mary Ann Pence and husband James of Peterstown, WV; two brothers, Norvel Mann and wife Jean of Lindside, WV, and Hampton P. Mann and wife Gloria of Bluefield, VA; one sister, Chloda Crosier of Lindside, WV; brother-in-law, Elder Paul Williams of Roanoke, VA; and several step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Elders Norvel and Thomas Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Keaton Cemetery in Greenville, WV.
