Mabry, Jr., Charlie James

Charlie James Mabry Jr. age 73 of Foster Falls VA, died peacefully at home with his family Thursday morning August 31st 2017. He was born November 21st 1943 in Wythe County VA, the son of the late Charlie and Mary Jane Payne Mabry. James enjoyed farming and logging, bear hunting as well as listening to the fox hounds at the Fox Pen in Carroll County VA. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father and PA PA. James loved to sit on the front porch with his dog Blue and watch the deer and animals while he drank his coffee.

He was preceded in death by;

a brother Leroy Mabry and his mother and father-in-law Albert and Mary Marshall.

James is survived by:
Crecie Marshall Mabry of the home, his loving wife of 53 + years
3 sons and daughter-in-law: Everett Mabry of Barren Springs VA, Brian & Melanie Mabry of Barren Springs VA, Chris Mabry of Foster Falls VA

2 grandchildren: Bridget & Chase Martin, Vance Mabry

1 uncle: Howard Payne of Barren Springs VA

2 nieces: Kristie Sutphin, Holly & Jason Worrell

1 nephew: Denny & Janet Payne

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 3rd 2017 at the Reese Funeral Home in Austinville VA with Rev. Jamie Cooper & Rev. Donnie Weaver officiating, interment followed in the Charity Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.highlandfuneralservice.com.
