Mabery, Kenneth Ray

Kenneth Ray Mabery, 86, of Willis, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. He was born December 3, 1921, to the late Albert and Elizabeth Mabery. Ray was a retired carpenter of many years. He had given his heart to Christ and lived his life for his family, whom he loved dearly. Ray is also preceded in death by brothers, French, Elmond and Thurman Mabery; and one infant brother at birth.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Kathleen Hylton Mabery, Willis; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Doug Moore, Dugspur; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Ray and Vicki Mabery, Terry Leon and Sandy Mabery, all of Willis, and Michael Lee and Teresa Mabery, Thaxton; grandchildren, Donnie Spence, Rick Spence, Casey Mabery, Megan Mabery, Jake Mabery, Micah Mabery and Josh Mabery; five step-grandchildren, whom he loved so dearly; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow at Willis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2008, at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, Va.
