Lyons, Aileen Leeson

Nora Aileen Leeson Lyons, age 87 of Pulaski, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski. She was born on July 7, 1928 in Pulaski County, and was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Banes Leeson and Thomas Jefferson Leeson.

Aileen was a long-time member of the Newbern United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Peyton Lyons, a son Thomas Edmond Lyons, brothers Garnett Leeson, Vance Leeson, Harold Leeson, sisters Violet Williams and Freida Nelson.

She is survived by a son; Michael Everett Lyons and his wife Phoebe of Warrenton; two daughters, Diane Lyons of Pulaski, Barbara Janney and her husband Ted of Childress; a sister, Mildred Davis and her husband Ranold of Newbern. She is also survived by grandson Chris Howell and David Lyons (Jessica); granddaughters Heather Lyons, Jessica Cauley, Kristin McLaughlin (Shane); and 5 great grandchildren Carleigh Martin, Tanyon Cauley, Benjamin Lyons, Nathan Lyons, and Wesson McLaughlin. Also, a very special caregiver Kristy Chafin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Seagle Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Newbern Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until 2:00 p.m. with service to follow.
