Lyall, Susan Josephine Downs

Susan Josephine Downs Lyall, 66, of Craigs Creek, Montgomery County, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at her home.

Susan was born in Brewer, Maine on August 31, 1940 to the late Alice Hewes and Herbert Downs. She was also preceded in death by her son, Everett (Chip) Lyall. Susan is survived by her husband, Paul Lyall of Montgomery County; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Jean Lyall and Garnett C. Bowers, of Max Meadows, Va.; son, Jeff A. Lyall of Montgomery County; and brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Ann Downs of Titusville, Fla.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday, July 13, 2007 at 8 p.m. at Grace Assemblies of God, Catawba, Va., Rt. 311 with Minister Jay Law officiating. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
