Lunsford, Helen Irene Reedy

Helen Irene Reedy Lunsford, 79, of Christiansburg, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Mrs. Lunsford was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years, and employed by Hercules in Radford. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and greatgranddaughter. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, William Clyde Reedy and John Lunsford, respectively; mother and father, Ola McGrady Farmer and James Arthur Farmer; and one brother, Breece Farmer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and David Bishop, of Christiansburg; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Reedy, of Riner; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Reedy-Cole and Curtis Clayton Cole, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Ashley Bishop, Timothy and Tiffany Bishop, Joshua and Rachel Reedy, Carmen Reedy, Cassie Cole and Hallie Cole; sister, Iva Farmer Barker, of Marion, Va.; and brother, Ted Farmer, of Spotsylvania, Va. Also surviving is her greatgranddaughter, Ellie. The family will receive friends at Faith Missionary Baptist Church from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011. The Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. at the church on Thursday with Pastor Mike Vest officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
