Lugo, Delia Esther

Delia Esther Lugo currently of Christiansburg but a native and lifelong resident of Puerto Rico, is now in God’s arms as of April 12, 2016.

Delia is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, José Lugo Arroyo; three daughters and their respective husbands, Sylvia, Sonia, and Carmen Delia; six grandchildren and their respective partners, Daphne, Javier, Walter, Brian, Alex, and Michelle; six great-grandchildren, Alejandro, Gustavo, Isra, Adi, Ella, and Evangeline; as well as other extended family and friends.

Delia was an amazing woman, who lived a very blessed and full life, dedicated to God, her husband, family, and to serving others. During her lifetime she touched many, many lives in various ways.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.

One of Delia’s charities close to her heart is in her hometown where a pastor there helps young people with drug problems find rehabilitation and start a new life. The family requests in lieu of flowers you consider making a donation payable to Sonia Badillo, 3710 Eaglebrook Road, Christiansburg, VA 24073, and Sonia will forward all monies to the pastor for this charity.
