Lucas, Phyllis Hilton
Phyllis Earnestine Lucas, 83 of Ripplemead, VA departed this life on June 2, 2022 in the care of her family. Born on September 29, 1938 in Pearisburg, VA she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Helen Mays Hilton.
Phyllis served her community from working as a library assistant to Mountain Lake Hotel and finally at Carilion Giles Community Hospital. In her time, Phyllis enjoyed to crochet and read.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Lucas; daughter, Robin Gail Lucas; brothers, Clinton Hilton and James Hilton; a sister, Linda McGuire; and brother-in-law, Cleve McGuire.
Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her son, Stanley Lucas (Vickie) of Pembroke, VA; daughters, Sheila Cromer (Clark) of Cottageville, GA, and Joyce Hope Lucas of Ripplemead, VA; grandchildren, Amanda Dudley, Courtney Roberts, Ashley Armstrong, Heather Black, and Casey Lucas (Kelsey); and great-grandchildren, Oakleigh Dudley, Maisyn Lucas, Dominic Block, Lilly Black, Preston Comer, Caleb Comer, Kaitlynn Lucas, Haile Roberts, Lucas Roberts, Levi Roberts, and Taron Roberts.

Joyce and Ashley, there are no words right now that can be said that will bring you comfort. However, I know in the days and months ahead, that you will draw on the memories of the times that you spent with Phyllis, and those memories is what will bring you great comfort.
