Paul Daniel Lucas, 60, of Narrows departed from this earth to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29th, 2006 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born on September 25th, 1946 and was the son of the late Guy Edward and Gladys Winnie Lucas. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by four brothers, M.C. Lucas, Billy Lucas, Marshall Lucas, and Johnny Lucas; and one sister, Shirley Spinks.

Paul attended the Full Gospel Assembly of Lindside, West Virginia, which he loved dearly. He loved his family and friends and spent his whole life loving others. He will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pearl Lang Lucas of Narrows; one stepson, Jimmy Dale Stump of Pearisburg; three stepdaughters, Barbara Stump and Regina Stump, both of Pearisburg, and Shelia Lucas of Rockwell, North Carolina; five step-grandchildren; two brothers, Mack Lucas of Narrows and Danny Lucas of Plantersville, Virginia; two sisters, Bobbie Blankenship and Becky Morris, both of Narrows; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 31st, 2006 at 3 PM at North Narrows Tabernacle, Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, at the corner of Woodland and Warner Streets in Narrows with Rev. Paul Terry officiating, assisted by Rev. Don Lucas. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Saturday from 6-8 PM. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider the North Narrows Tabernacle.
