Lucas, Almetta Robertson

Almetta Robertson Lucas, 94, of Pembroke, Va., departed this life on Monday morning, April 6, 2009, at home in the care of her loved ones. Born in Narrows on June 29, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Lee and Laura Smith Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Evans Lucas, at whose side she had faithfully worked in their family business.

In honoring Almetta’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral ceremonies. Her body will privately be laid to rest beside her beloved Paul in Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg.
