Wayne Elliott Lucado, 54, of the Berton Community, Pearisburg, Va., departed this life Sunday afternoon, August 22, 2010, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 7, 1956, he was a son of Thelma Anderson Lucado, of Berton and the late Eugene Joseph Lucado. He was, for many years, employed as a tractor trailer driver. Wayne was preceded in death by his father and a son Eugene Elliott Lucado. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gail Tickle Lucado; his mother, Thelma Anderson Lucado; his sons, Robert Wayne and his wife, Tracy Lucado, of Berton and Wayne Junior Lucado, of Snowville; his brothers and their wives, Daniel Joseph and Elsie Lucado, of Narrows and Stephen Andrew and Jane Lucado, of Buchanan; his sisters and their husbands, Sylvia Jean and Don Pack, of Pearisburg, Frances Elaine Oiler and Richard, of Greenbrier, W.Va., Evelyn Marie and Frank Marion, of Berton; and his three grandchildren, Skyler, Shaylyne, and Elijah Lucado. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
