Lovern, Rose Patricia

The world is greatly saddened by the lost the sweet little hat lady, Rose Patricia Lovern, on February 21, 2023 after a full life of 90 years. She has gone to be with her heavenly father, her longtime husband Norman and her grandson Gary Ward (her Teddy Bear), and all her loved ones that preceded her in her in death.

She is survived by her children, David and Darlene Lovern, Ronnie and Mary Lovern, Carl and Crystal Lovern, Wendy Saunders, and Darla Lovern; grandchildren, Angela and Blaine Olivera, Steve and Leslie Lawson, Frances and Thomas Kienle, Tiffanie and Christian Thompson, Andy Conner, Wendy and Michael Bishop, Johnnie and Kevin Batten-Martin, and Matthew Lovern; nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; as well as extended family of Betty and Tommy Gregg, Donna Ford, Lynn Scaggs, Val Nakdimen, and “Shorty” Mark Arthur.

Rose enjoyed spending time with family, going to church, and sewing blankets and tote bags for the senior citizen center. She was rarely seen without a hat and a smile and never failed to give a hug or kiss and sending love to most everyone she met.

Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Rose at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg VA on February 23, 2023 with visitation at 1pm followed by graveside service at 2 pm in White Memorial Cemetery in Alleghany.
