Lovell, Emmett Dewey

Emmett Dewey “Sam” Lovell, age 80, of Pulaski, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Sept. 18, 1931 in Pulaski and was the son of the late Virgie Sage Lovell and James Lovell.

“Uncle Sam,” as he was known by many, was a retired farmer for the former Allison’s Farm in Pulaski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Joe, and three sisters, Beulah Lovell, Ethel Andrews and Frances Long. He is survived by nieces, Betty Altizer of Pulaski, Helen Boles of Rural Retreat and Shirley Hoback of Bedford; a nephew, Jerry Andrews of Pulaski, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was held Monday, May 7, at 2:30 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery. There was no visitation. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.seaglefuneralhome.com.
