Lotito, Christopher

Christopher Lotito, 91, of Pulaski, Va. died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in the Pulaski Community Hospital, Pulaski, Va.

He was born in Pocahontas, Va. on August 3, 1915 and was the son of the late Stephen Lotito and Maria Gargara Lotito. He was a retired manager of the Virginia ABC store in Pocahontas and he was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Pacific Theatre.

Mr. Lotito was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Fox Lotito; three brothers, Tony, Dominic (Butch) and Ralph Lotito; and two sisters, Ann Lotito and Josephine Wise.

Surviving are his sister, Katherine (Tubby) Barrett of Pa.; brothers, Nick Lotito of Pocahontas, Va., and Frank Lotito of Alburquerque, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, 2007 at 1 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, Va. with the Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin, Va. with VFW Post #1184 conducting the military graveside rites.

Visiting will be Monday at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from Noon until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to any Catholic Church or to any United Methodist Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
