Long, Thomas Allen

Thomas Allen Long, 21, of McCoy, Va., went home to be with the Lord on his 21st birthday. He was born on February 19, 1990, in Montgomery County, Va. He was preceded in death by his brother, Adam Lee Long; his maternal grandfather, Floyd Olen Shealor; and paternal grandparents, Edward Lee and Ruby May Long. He is survived by his parents, Clayton and Gloria Long, of McCoy; maternal grandmother, Etta Faye Shealor, of Blacksburg; brothers, Jonathan Long, of McCoy and Clayton Long Jr., of Blacksburg; his sisters, Charity Long, of McCoy and April Long, of Prices Fork. He is also survived by nieces, Ashley and Britney Cumbee and nephews, Christopher Cumbee and Austin Burrell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Zack Price/James R. Long Memorial Cemetery, Prices Fork. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McCoy Funeral Home to help offset expenses. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
