Long, Roger Lee

Roger Lee Long, age 71, of Peterstown, WV, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Hinton, WV. Born April 14, 1951, in Bozoo, WV, he was the son of the late Charlie Houston and Kathryn Robertson Long. Roger was very social and loved to camp and fish.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Charles, Johnny and Harold Long. He is survived by his two sons Kevin L. Long, of Peterstown, WV, and R. Eddie Long and wife Honei of Peterstown, WV; two grand-daughters Angel and Gracelin Long; and his siblings, Marie White, Robert Long, Virginia Meadows, Carol Long, Brenda Walker, and Norma Jean Long. Roger is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and other beloved family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Walt Bonnell officiating. Visitation with family will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
