Long, Nellie Newton

Nellie Newton Long, 86, of Belspring, Pulaski Co., departed this life Saturday morning, November 22, 2008 at Salem Health and Rehab. Center in Salem, VA. Born in Wise County, Virginia on April 5, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Lorne Newton and Ida Mae Quesenberry Newton. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Long, Sr. and a daughter Violet Gaye Wells.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son and daughter-in-law Paul E. and Carol Churchill Long of Salem; a daughter and son-in-law Meleta Ruth and J W Gravely of Parrott; her brothers Clyde Newton of Texas and Fred Newton of Wise Co.; a sister Pauline Newton of Wise Col,; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granndchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Parrott Church of God with Pastor Eddie Dalton and Pastor Mike Bond officiating.
