Long, Betty Jo

Betty Jo Long, age 74, of Christiansburg, VA. Died unexpectedly in her sleep on April 25, 2016. She was a kind and loving soul who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She loved us all for the individuals that we are, encouraged us to be the best we could be, and comforted us with her gentle humor and warm touch.

Her smile will be missed by her husband of 30 years, Samuel F. Long; her mother, Gertrude Graham and two sisters, Susan Carroll and Sandi Mosier; 5 children and 5 step children, Patience Powell, Jack Turner, Faith Turner, Neil Turner, Ashley Allen, Dave Long, Vickie Miller, Rick Long, Tom Long and John Long and their spouses; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Jack T Graham and her sister, Patricia Manning.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 6 to 8 pm at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg. Graveside service will be on Friday, April 29th at 2 pm at Zach Price – James R. Long Memorial Cemetery, Brooksfield Road, Prices Fork, 24060.
