William Curtis Logan, 88 of Pulaski, died Sunday June 17, 2012 at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 30, 1924 in Washington County, Virginia to the late Leona Helton Logan and Robert L. Logan who were share croppers.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served as a Phamacist Mate Second Class in W.W. II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church since October 22, 1944, and was known as the Green Grocer at Food Fair, IGA and Food Lion in Pulaski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Dalton Logan, and two brothers, the Rev. Dr. James Cecil Logan, Don Logan, and his very close friend and companion, Julia Hawkins.

He is survived by his loving family at First United Methodist, and the daughter of Julia Hawkins, Betty Viers and her husband Bud of Draper.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating, and where the V.F.W. Post 1184 will conduct military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday evening June 19, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home.
