Lockwood, Genevieve Frankie

Genevieve Frankie Holliday Lockwood, 71, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Springtree Health and Rehab Center. She was born in West Virginia on November 24, 1937, to the late Robert A. and Ora Cox Holliday.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Richard Lockwood and her daughter, Lisa Michelle Lockwood, two brothers and a sister. She was a graduate of Blacksburg High School “Class of 1957”.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Edward (Eddie) and Ginger Lockwood, Roanoke; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie L. and Tommy Allie, Hiwassee; three grandchildren, Michael Allie, Josh Allie, and Danielle Nicole Lockwood; a sister, Jerry Brammer, Blue Ridge.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Charles Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Tuesday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
