Linkous Sr., William Lloyd (Bobby)
William Lloyd (Bobby) Linkous Sr., 79, of Christiansburg, died on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at his home. He was born in Merrimac, on February 12, 1934, to the late Richard James and Kitty Lawson Linkous. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Walters Linkous; a grandson, Keith Linkous; brother, Marshall Linkous; sisters, Nancy Wright and Linda Sweeney; son-in- law, Carl McPherson. Bobby was in the plastering business with over 40 years of service, was a member of the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church and was married to his loving wife for 54 years. He is survived by his daughters, Millie McPherson, Debbie Foster; sons and daughters-in-law, William (Billy) and Sherry Linkous, Jerry W. and Melissa Linkous, Danny R. Sr. and Pam Linkous, Michael L. and Carol Linkous; sisters and brother-in-law, Lois and Malcolm Woolwine, Peggy Selby; sisters-in-law, Frances McLain, Martha Main, Betty Nelson, Iris Grimsley and husband, John; grandchildren, Josh, Alexus, Robert, Randal, Danny, Jessy, Ben, Jake, Michelle, Andy, Lee Ann, Rachael, Samantha, Stephen, Carlee, Lauren; 16 great-grandchildren; special friends, Lynn Smith, Sherry Woolwine. The family would like to say a special thank you to the DaVita Dialysis Center for their special care of Bobby. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, March, 25, 2013, in the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call any time after noon Sunday and the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., SW, Blacksburg, Va.
