Linkous, Robert Lee

Robert “R.B.” Lee Linkous, age 80, of Blacksburg died, Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on October 3, 1941 to the late Harley Richard and Lossie Kathren Linkous. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Gail Linkous, daughter, Rena L. Howard and R.B. Linkous, Jr.

He is survived by best friend and companion, Barbara Miles, son and daughter-in-law, Robert Wade Linkous (Michelle), grandchildren, Zach Linkous (Casey), Ciera McPeak, Koty Linkous, Dylan Howard, great-grandchildren, Sammy T. Linkous, Autumn, Zayah, Zach, Zelyn, Levi, Hagan, sisters, Wanda Thompson (Bob), Dolly Vest, brother, Wayne Linkous (Peggy), special niece, Sheila Kipps Stuart, and many other family members that he loved so much.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2:00pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
