Linkous, Haven Thurman

Haven Thurman Linkous, 78, of Merrimac, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Marie Linkous. He is survived by his son, Phillip Linkous Sr., of Cedar Bluff; grandchildren, Tabatha and William Dudding, Samantha and Mike Kendrick, Phillip Linkous Jr., Matthew Linkous, Jessica and Travis Tuck, Isaac Linkous, and Luke and Amanda Linkous; 11 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Kevin and Sandra Snyder. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
