Glenn Ray Linkous, 62, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on February 4, 1946.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garner C. Linkous and sister-in-law, Thelma Linkous. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Cupp Linkous, of Blacksburg; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Scott Linkous and Loretta Linkous, of Gates, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Linkous Epperly and Danny Epperly, of Christiansburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Freda Bowman, Donna Cox, Juanita Tolbert, Faye and Bill Pack, Debbie and Jeff Nester, all of Blacksburg; brothers and sister-in-law, George Linkous, of Blacksburg and Phillip and Melissa Linkous, of Floyd; grandchildren, Kellie Epperly, Alexis Epperly, Kendall Epperly, of Christiansburg, Brittney Shephard, Tara Cisco and husband, Dustin; and great-granddaughter, Haley Cisco, all of Suffolk, Va.; several aunts, an uncle, many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and one great-great-nephew; very special cousin and spouse, Brenda and Donald Dix.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Eric Pennington and the Rev. Randy Woolwine officiating. Internment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Sunday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the Mccoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
