Frank Bunyan Linkous, 87, of Christiansburg, was called to his heavenly home to join his loving wife of 59 years Lenora Wood Linkous on Friday, October 21, 2005.

He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on February 16, 1918 to the late Robert James and Rose Sheppard Linkous. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lou Linkous, two brothers and two sisters.

He was a member of the Vicker Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 40 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was a retired coal miner.

He is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Irma Jean and Mike Edwards of Pulaski, Pauletta Terry and Sherwood Elliott of Blacksburg, Joyce and Daniel Rorrer of Pulaski, Brenda and Donald Howell of Christiansburg, Lisa and Roger Huff of Christiansburg; twenty three grandchildren; thirty six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 23, 2005 at 3 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in the Linkous Family Cemetery, Christiansburg. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Saturday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
