Linkous, Charlie L.
Charlie L. Linkous, 94, of Highland Road, Radford, Va., passed away peacefully on October 3, 2009, at the Radford Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born in Pulaski Co. on June 12, 1915, and was the son of the late James William and Mary “Mollie” Linkous.
Charlie served 12 years on the Pulaski board of supervisors, 32 years of service with Hercules and was a devoted member of the Belsprings Presbyterian Church. He has gone on to dance in heaven.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Linkous; and daughter, Mary D. Rigney; four brothers, George, Frank, Jack and Emmett; four sisters, Maye Caldwell, Etta Long, Rosie Hurt and Nannie Akers.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charlie Lake Jr. and Mary Ann Linkous, of Radford; adopted daughter and husband, Karen Fogleman and Robert, of Burlington, N.C.; son-in-law, Bobby Rigney, of Radford; four grandchildren, Donna and John Coburn, Craig and Donna Linkous, Kevin and Yvonne Linkous, Tim Rigney and fiance, Jamie Payne, of Chesterfield, Va.; four greatgrandchildren, Cayla and Amanda Coburn, Matthew and Daniel Linkous; and special friend, Norma Dennis, of Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends Monday October 5, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2009, 11 a.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral home Chapel with the Rev. Joe McCoy officiating, interment following in the Hickman Cemetery.
