Linkous, Annie Stella

Annie Stella Linkous, age 80, of Christiansburg crossed over Jordan to her eternal Heavenly home on Dec. 12, 2013. Stella was born Nov. 10, 1933 to the late John and Zula Early. She is preceded in death by her husband Otis Linkous, brothers, Junior Early, William Early, Glen Early, sister, Toy (Sis) St. Clair. Stella was a very devoted member of the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church, Shawsville for 50 plus years. Her great pleasure and joy was working with the youth and teaching Sunday School at many levels, her last Sunday of teaching was Sunday Dec.1st. She is survived by her sons, Clayton (Jo) Linkous, Gilbert “Butch” Linkous, John Linkous, daughters, Priscilla (Mike) Patrick, Ponnie (Ben) Shawver, Debbie (Eddie) Gallimore, and Pamela Iris Linkous, fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, sister and friend, Mary Jane Alls, sisters-in-law, Charlotte Matusevich and Mary McDaniel, special aunt, Rodie Dudley, special friend, Billy Ratliff and Wanda Gilbert, many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00am in the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Eddie Gallimore, Rev. Wes Conner, and Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Sunday evening at the Church.
