Link, Sr., James Earl

James Earl Link, Sr, 84, of Check, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 22, 2025. Jim served his community working at local banks, Floyd Co. board of supervisors, and home health. He was a US Air Force Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Rheba Link; sister: Joan Akers; brother: Paul Link. Survived by wife: Peggy Dewald-Link; Children: Sonya Carr (Darrell), James E. Link, Jr. (Geneva), Preston J. Link (Stephanie); seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Betty Reynolds, Mary Richardson, David Link, Brenda Hungate (Carl), Allen Link, Joyce Whitaker (Chris); many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday January 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Darren Landon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity in memory of Jim.
