Lineberry, Hope Gillespie
Hope Gillespie Lineberry, 77, of Dublin, Va., passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born March 17, 1933, in Tazewell, she was the daughter of the late John Crockett Gillespie and Katherine Kiser Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Holland Lineberry, in 2009; a daughter-in-law, Margie Morgan Lineberry; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Lineberry. She was a faithful member of the Dublin United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of James Madison University where she was a member of the Blue Stone Society. Surviving is her daughter , Melissa H. “Mel” Lineberry, of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, William Thomas Lineberry and Sharon Clark Lineberry, of Draper; two grandchildren, Zane Thomas Lineberry, of Harrisonburg, Erin Hope Lineberry, of Dublin; beloved sister and brother-in-law, Katherine Moss Huffman and Jim V. Huffman, of Burkes Garden, Va.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ben H. and Sarah Lineberry, of Pulaski County. A service of celebration and resurrection will be held Sunday 2 p.m. at the Dublin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Rowland officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Dublin United Methodist Church Family Life Center. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Maplewood Cemetery, Tazewell, Va.
