Stephen Wayne Lindsey, age 50, of Blacksburg went to be with our Lord on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on April 25, 1963. He is preceded in death by his father John Milton Lindsey, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Maria Lindsey, of Blacksburg, mother and step-father, Joan and Carl Jackson Asbury, of Willis, daughter, Crystal Marie Lindsey, of Jacksonville, FL., son, Jeffrey Wayne Lindsey, of Blacksburg, sisters and brothers-in-law, Elesa Michelle Lindsey Binner and husband, Robert Thomas Binner, of Roanoke, Marcie Joan Lindsey Altizer and husband, William Thomas Altizer, Christiansburg, Veronica Marie Vest, of Roanoke, brother, Michael David Lindsey, of Willis, sister-in-law, Christina Pancer, brother-in-law, Bobet Legaspi, grandchild, Logan Michael Barber, many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and special friend, Roy Crowder, Jr., and many other special friends, his faithful companion, Chi-Chi. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
