Allan Paris Lindsey, Sr. 84, of 753 Elizabeth Street, Pulaski, died early Sunday morning, April 23, 2006, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Allisonia on April 6, 1922 and was the son of the late John Franklin Lindsey and Daisy Melinda Warden Lindsey. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Gregory Lindsey, and by 12 brothers and sisters.

He was a member of the Community Christian Church, Newbern and was a graduate of Draper High School. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during World War II.

Surviving are: his wife, Thelma G. Lindsey, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Gary Edwards, Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Allan P. Lindsey, Jr. and Patricia Lindsey, Hendersonville, N.C.; four grandchildren and spouse, Yvette Haga, Ken Lindsey, Kevin Lindsey, Dean and Angel Lindsey; four great-grandchildren, Justine and Jayce Haga, Erin and Skyler Lindsey.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Community Christian Church, Newbern with Minister Ernie Depew and Minister Michael Foutz officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Tuesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
