Lilly, Phyllis McCleese

Phyllis Lilly, age 75, passed away on May 15, 2021. Born in Kentucky, moved to Virginia in 1967, where she met and married Ken Lilly in Christiansburg. They moved to Floyd County in 1986.

She worked as an insurance agent for 30 years in Christiansburg and Radford.

She was the beloved mother of Kristi Williams and husband, Tony Williams. She was loved by her grandchildren: Max Williams, John Williams, and Jack & Morgan Williams. She is also survived by eight of her brothers and sisters and their families: Carol Mullens, Jack McCleese, Ron McCleese, Arnold McCleese, Linda Rudisill, Mary Lou McCleese, Kathy Scales, and Mike McCleese. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Ken Lilly, her sister, Teresa White, and her parents, Marshall and Audrey McCleese. Also preceding her were her sisters in law, Susan McCleese and Barb McCleese and brother in law, Earl Lilly.

She loved her family including all of her many nieces and nephews. She was also a devout believer in Jesus Christ. We are grateful for every day we got to spend with her.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 2 pm at Gardner Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Cox officiating. Interment will be at Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the Funeral Home.
