Light, Stella Blackwell

Stella Blackwell Light, of Christiansburg, left to be with the Lord and her family who she dearly loved on Monday, March 26, 2007.

She was a member of Belview United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She worked at the Radford Arsenal, Country Cookin and as a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Martin Blackwell and Brown Blackwell and her brother, William Clayton Blackwell; sisters, Anna Blackwell Creasy and Essie Blackwell Fagan and Linda Creasy Graves, a very special niece who Stella loved. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Landon Leon Light.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel B. and Ruth Blackwell of Christiansburg; a very special niece, Carolyn Creasy Sheppard and nephew, Bobby L. Sheppard of Christiansburg; great-nieces and nephews; great-greatnieces and nephews that she loved very much and they also loved her.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the Belview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Everette Sheppard and the Rev. Sebert Rorrer officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The Light Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, 382-2612.
