Light, Beatrice Dove

Mrs. Beatrice Dove Light, age 91, of Christiansburg, VA walked into the arms of her Lord on September 18, 2016. She was born in Montgomery County, VA, on February 23, 1925 and preceded in death by her husband Dewey Allen Light, Sr.

She is survived by her sister Margaret Ann Montelongo and her brother and sister-in-law, David and Hattie Sue Dove. Surviving children and spouses are Dewey A. Light, Jr., Rose and Jim Stone, Steve and Colleen Light, Judy Lafon, Connie Vanhoozier, and Michael and Karen Light. Surviving grandchildren and their spouses are Jim and Heather Stone, John and Lindsey Stone, Mark and Deborah Stone, Brooke Light, Emily and Brad Simpson, Amanda and Hank Newhouse, Adria Vanhoozier and Jake Lambert, Jessica Light, Joshua Light, and Jordan Light. Also remaining are 10 great-grandchildren who will miss their Granny/ Nana Bea very much.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 in the evening of Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the McCoy Funeral Home, 159 Country Club Dr. SW Blacksburg, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 on Thursday, September 22 in the chapel at McCoy Funeral Home with Rev. Olen Gardner officiating. Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, after which a reception will be held at Cambria Baptist Church, 1310 Cambria St. Christiansburg, VA.
