Susan Liddle, 51, died peacefully on October 22, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. This ended her courageous battle with cancer, and began her joyful resurrection with her heavenly Father. She is survived by her husband, Biff Liddle; two daughters, Courtney and Bailey; a son, Joseph; her parents, Bill and Betty Latham; two sisters, Carroll Allen and husband, Tony, Ann Latham; and a brother, John Latham and wife Cindy; as well as nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She will be reunited with her grandparents, John and Ruth Heuser and Edith Mae and William Latham; as well as a nephew, Samuel Guinn Allen. Susan was a physical therapist who loved her work and avid Virginia Tech softball fan. She was as close to being the “Team Mom” as one could be. She will be greatly missed but all will remember her beautiful smile and encouraging words. Though we mourn her absence here we rejoice in her new life healed and joy filled. A celebration of her life and resurrection will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013, at her home, 2521 Logmill Road, Haymarket, VA 20169. We welcome all friends and family wishing to celebrate with us. A tribute by Jeff Noble from North Star Church in Blacksburg will be given at 3:30 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined in lieu of donations to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, or VT Softball, in memory of Susan Liddle.
