Billie Jean Huffman Liddle, 88, of Blacksburg, Va, joined her family and Savior in Heaven, April 7, 2015. She was born May 1, 1926, in Blacksburg, Virginia to Ross and Kate Huffman. As a child she enjoyed sewing doll clothes, which turned into a lifelong love of sewing, quilting, and embroidery. She used this knowledge to start alterations for Sidney’s clothing in Gable’s Mall, working her way up to becoming manager of the store.

She was loved by all who worked with her. In later years she once again turned to sewing this time crafting lovely stuffed animals and American Girl doll clothes which she sold at craft shows.

What made her the happiest was to be with her family. She loved Sunday dinners with all the family gathered around the table, making sure there was plenty for all and homemade dessert!

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Heath Nelson Liddle, parents, Ross and Kate Huffman, brothers, Kelly Huffman and Ralph Huffman, sisters, Martha Albert and Louise Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Heath Nelson Liddle, Jr., daughter-in-law, Joan, of Blue Ridge Va.; daughter, Barbara Jean Pack, son-in-law, Bob, of Blacksburg, Va.; grandson, Justin Daiber, his wife, Jessica and great-granddaughter, Jia, of Tuscon, AZ. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Harold Liddle and wife Betty, of Saint Leonard , Md,; brother-in-law, Larry Liddle and wife, Violet, of Wytheville, Va., and many nieces and nephews.

Billie was a lifetime member of Alleghany Church of Christ in Christiansburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the church, 2095 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, VA, 24073.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 12 at 1 PM at Alleghany Church of Christ, with Mr. Porter Riner officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 4 to 6 PM at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
